I'm originally from Rivière-Ouelle in the lower St-Lawrence River region. I am first and foremost self-taught. Since I was very young, I dreamed of drawing. At the age of 45 I began to fulfill the dream that had been with me for so long, without me fully realizing it. I took basic drawing and oil painting classes. Before my retirement, my artistic output was very limited. I am primarily a realist painter, and I particularly enjoy painting scenes of nature. I do not have a talent for abstract art.

It was only around 2019 that I started producing more work. I then tried watercolour, taking classes with Valerie Guia. Then I tried acrylics, and finally, I have recently started working with soft pastels. I enjoy discovering new mediums; strangely enough, it allows me to improve in the ones I am more comfortable with.
